THE LIBERTY SKIRT

The Liberty Skirt started as an over-the-top couture design to showcase the Seven Wonders fabrics on an exaggeratedly tall mannequin. The ridiculously long skirt got so much attention and I found that everyone wanted it that way! Now, of course, we've designed it at the studio to make as long as you like. Just add as many layers to the cake as you feel for a knee, shin, ankle or floor mop fit! Based on the towering Statue of Liberty that enthralled me as a child, and still inspires me to this day. - David Butler aka Parson Gray Cover fabrics shown are: Parson Gray / Seven Wonders

FABRICS NEEDED:

Note:  The yardage given is for a one-way design.  Allow extra yardage for centering or matching a design on your fabric.  Skirt is made using 44" wide quilting fabric.

Note:  Each tier is made from a different fabric print;  yardage amounts for each tier are listed separately.

Note:  Additional fabric will be needed if making a skirt with 8+ tiers.  Plan to add 1/4 yard of fabric for each additional tier.

**Note:  For Tiers 5+ the fabric will be folded on the crosswise grain, matching the cut ends of the fabric.
