“WHAT A TRIP!”
TESTIMONIALS
I have been on two trips with Amy, both very memorable. Amy has a gift of pulling magical people and experiences into her orbit. You will not only love the "excursions" she guides you on but your fellow travelers will also be exceptional. Safe, delicious, creative, and fun; these trips pack it ALL in. You will not be bored, LOL. I can't join this one because of the dates but I am planning on following Amy all over the world! Take the leap. You won't regret it. ~ Andrea Silova

I've now traveled with Amy Butler to two great countries, India and Morocco, for textile tours that far exceeded my expectations. With Amy, you know you'll see important historic sights, stay in beautiful places, eat fabulous local food and get to meet and work with master artisans. But you also know there will be juicy extras, like a cooking class on an organic farm outside Marrakesh and a henna party in Jaipur. And, always, exquisite shopping at a list of curated shops and markets. Go! ~ Meg Cox

Imagine this: arriving in Jaipur and being instantly swept up into a world of vibrant colours, rich history, and experiences that would make even the most seasoned traveller’s heart skip a beat. From staying in a palace that felt like stepping into a storybook to tucking into food that was nothing short of perfection, this trip was an absolute dream.
Under the expert guidance of Amy Butler and her incredible local guide & good friend, Prakash, every moment was packed with discovery. Whether we were learning the traditional techniques of dyeing and the intricate art of block printing in hands-on workshops, or exploring the stunning architecture of Jodhpur, each day brought new surprises and deeper connections to the culture.
The real magic, though, was in the excursions—which also included off-road adventures into regional areas where we could truly feel the heart and soul of India. Amy’s spot-on choices in curating this trip were evident in every detail. It was all just perfect, allowing us to experience the rich cultural and heritage aspects of India in a way that you wouldn’t normally have the chance to. We were immersed in the traditions and beauty of India far beyond the usual tourist tracks.
And let’s not forget the friendships formed over countless cups of chai, shared laughter, and the occasional ‘aha!’ moment during our creative adventures. Travelling with such an inspiring group of women made the experience even more special, and I’ve come away with not just memories, but bonds that will last a lifetime.
So, if you’re thinking about joining one of Amy’s tours, don’t hesitate. Pack your bags, bring your sense of wonder, and get ready for an adventure that’s as enriching as it is unforgettable. This is more than a trip; it’s a journey that will stay with you forever. ~ Gayle Thwaites

I went to Morocco on a global retreat with Amy and Dave, and it was the trip of a lifetime. Everything was meticulously planned and beautifully curated. Amy and Dave created experiences that I'll never forget -- from workshops at the beautiful Peacock Pavilions to jewelry making to visiting the souk, sights, and a Moroccan spa in Marrakech to cooking classes and going to Essaouira. The trip was made all the more memorable by the people I was with and the time we spent together. Additionally, we were able to interact with Project Soar, a nonprofit that empowers, educates, and provides girls with the tools and supplies they need to become confident women. It made the experience all the more special to be a part of such an amazing organization! Amy and Dave were exceptional hosts and I would take the trip again in a heartbeat. It was truly life changing and wonderful! - Lis Ravert

I loved it so much that I went to India this year. I will follow her around the world to learn about cultures, traditions, artistry and spend time with genuinely wonderful people. Her spirit draws together a diverse, kind and interesting group of folks. I am lucky to have the opportunity to travel with her.

I would travel anywhere with Amy! I have been to Morocco and India with Amy and both trips far exceeded my expectations and opened my eyes to new ways of seeing the world. Every detail was exceptional on both my trips and the experiences are not what you can put together on your own- making her trips a once in a lifetime experience- food, accommodations, culture, art, history, and of course, the workshops. She does thorough research and legwork to ensure everything runs smoothly but is able to accommodate last minute group requests. I have no hesitation recommending Amy’s trips to anyone. ~ Michelle

I love these tours! I have gone on three tours with Amy and each one was a travel adventure filled with color, joy, and creative people. The first trip was to Jaipur, India. The hands-on experiences were unlike anything I had done elsewhere. COVID interrupted travel for a while, but when Amy hosted a trip to Morocco, I was there. It was another magical and eye-opening experience. Then when she returned to India and added a second city, Jodhpur, I didn't hesitate to go again. The group size is small enough that we all get to know each other and better yet, LIKE each other. The cultural immersion is educational and inspiring. The shopping opportunities are endless and the temptations are many! Go with an open mind and spirit and an empty bag to take your new-found treasures home with you. The lifetime of memories fit neatly in your mind. You won't regret participating. - Emily Batista, frequent traveler, quilter.

Traveling with Amy & Dave (and working closely with Susan) has been some of the best experiences I’ve had in my life. I’ve traveled to India & Morocco with Amy and both trips were amazing start to finish. Everything is perfectly planned, thoughtfully executed and cultured. I always felt safe, cared for and respected in the presence of Amy, her colleagues and the fellow travelers. There is always time to shop, explore and learn new things, while also being fully engaged with the local business owners and artisans we visit. Partaking in one of these group trips is most definitely worth the time and money - these experiences have changed my life and the way I look at travel. I’ve made lasting and meaningful connections with Amy, Dave, Susan and fellow travelers. I look forward to more trips in the future and making even more connections. -Kristen J. Kaessler - SHRM, CP

India 2024 was my first trip with Amy Butler; others in our group were on their second and even third. That alone speaks volumes. Amy had vetted everything to give us an unbelievably memorable and fantastic experience. In particular her meticulous attention to detail and personal prior experiences combined with our outstanding Indian tour guide resulted in a trip the defied expectations. I especially appreciated how Amy balanced our days seeing museums, forts and other historic famous sights with our day-long stops and in-person lessons from regional artisans. I can’t recommend taking a trip with Amy Butler more highly. I’m looking forward to my next opportunity to travel with her. ~Liz Nakayama

My trip to india with Amy was amazing. As I expected, when you travel with Amy, attention to every detail is given. Not only did I feel comfortable and safe traveling to India, but it was a trip with memories I will never, ever forget. From The hotels Amy chose for us, to the luxury bus, drivers, and travel agent, everything was well coordinated and staff very in tune to our needs. The hotels surpassed my expectations. Although I had seen previous trip photos, experiencing it myself is a true testimonial. the shopping and excursions she arranges, and the fine dining and various cultural experiences she lines up, definitely add up to a “money well spent” experience. The women on my trip were all easy going, we made special friendships; 7 months later, we are still communicating on WhatsApp. I would not hesitate to take another trip with Amy Butler and her staff. -Wendy Bennett

My husband and I have had the pleasure of accompanying Amy on two memorable trips. The first was to Jaipur, India, then, later a week in Marrakeesh. Amy was well organized and knowledgeable about the history and historic sites. Each day was well planned with visits to workshops and studios not open to tourists. We had plenty of time for shopping in the market and spontaneous stops to see the unexpected: i.e; the tree full of living goats along the road on the way to a day of horseback riding on the beach.
Amy's sweet and unhurried personality grounded the group as we explored each day's offerings. She enabled so many wonderful memories of our time with her. - Opal and Roger Cocke
